Cut
Taking a hard line to the graphic theme doesn't have to look too edgy as this feminine interpretation proves. Shaped to the head and cropped tight to the neck, boldly showcases the power of less is more, while the rounded, browskimming fringe gives a nod to Sixties cool.
Step 1
Create an asymmetric section running from ear to ear. The section should end directly behind the right ear and two fingers behind the left. Mark out a triangular section at the crown.
Step 2:
Work from the centre back in diagonal forward sections. Direct them to the previous section while cutting in a square line.
Step 3
Use a scissor-over-comb technique to create a soft outline and connect to the above section
Step 4:
On the right comb the hair so it falls naturally then cut a diagonal forward line above the ear Bring down section-by-section connecting all length to your base line.

Cut the fringe on a slightly asymmetric line to connect both sides

Release the back section and break up the line using point cut techniques
Colour
For a short style that’s bold and strong, we kept it simple, using a dark matte ash tone as an all over base then adding another dimension with a pre-lightened and ash-toned panel of lighter colour over the top.
Step 1:
Create a triangular section just below the crown to the back. Clip the surrounding sections away for the cleanest application.
Step 2:
Mix Profession Rapid Blond Bleaching Powder with 9% Profession Developer. Apply to the triangular section using back to back foils.
Step 3:
Mix Profession Permanent Caring Colour 4.19 Medium Brown Ash Matt with 2% Profession Developer. Apply to the rest of the hair.
Step 4:
Leave to develop for between 30 and 45 minutes. Rinse out the darker shade first to avoid blotting on the bleached sections.
Step 5:
Rinse off the bleached section. Mix Profession Permanent Caring Colour 9.11 Extra Light Blonde Intense Ash with Profession 2% Developer and apply. Leave in until the pre-bleached section has a cool, steel, grey tone.
