Terms and Conditions

All purchases are subject to acceptance of the following terms and conditions.

Trade Only. All products and product information available on this web site are intended for qualified or training professional hairdressers, beauty therapists and nail technicians only and are for sale on a strictly business to business basis. Customers should be competent in using the products sold on this website. Salon Supplies will not be held responsible for any injury or damages in unqualified users of our products. We reserve the right to ask for proof of professional status, and refuse the order if we believe the person not to be a trade customer. As a business user, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are insured for products that you are using. Products on this site are not for sale to members of the general public.

Please read the terms and condition carefully and do not hesitate to contact us if you require further information or clarification. If you do not accept these terms and conditions, please discontinue your purchase.

This web site is made available by us, KB Salon Supplies Limited ('Salon Supplies') and all references to 'we' and 'us' are to Salon Supplies. All visitors to our web site are referred to as 'you'.

1. The Contract between us
To make a purchase from our web site, you must complete the on-line registration form.

A binding contract for the sale and purchase of goods between you and us will only come into effect when we issue to you confirmation of order and an order reference number to the e-mail address provided by you on the registration form. We are not obliged to accept any order(s) you submit.

2. Price and payment
We reserve the right to revise at any time the price of goods offered for sale on our web site without notice. All orders for goods are subject to availability and Salon Supplies reserves the right to refuse to supply to any individual or company for whatever reason.

Although Salon Supplies tries to ensure that prices on this web site are accurate, errors can sometimes occur. (The prices as stated are therefore, indicative only but an accurate total price, including delivery charges, will be confirmed to you when we send you confirmation of our acceptance of your order.) If the price when confirmed, is not to your satisfaction your sole remedy is to withdraw your order and return the goods, to us in an unused condition, if already delivered to you.

All prices are exclusive of VAT and are quoted in Pounds Sterling unless otherwise stated.

Payment in full is required to be made by any of the following credit cards Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, or Switch or Klarna through this web site prior to dispatch of goods.

2b. VAT Free Offers

Any VAT Free offers means the total payable is the pre-VAT total of the goods specified and these goods have been discounted to reflect this. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer unless otherwise stated. All goods are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate, which means customers can still claim back any VAT they have been charged as detailed on their invoice.

3. Delivery
We try to deliver the goods in accordance with the delivery times and charges set out below. Please note the delivery times stated below are indicative only and we are not responsible for any delays. Neither Salon Supplies or their designated carrier will accept claims for consequential loss due to late deliveries.

3a. Non-Furniture Delivery times and delivery charges


Orders are dispatched via DPD, APC or Royal Mail depending on the items ordered and where it is being shipped to. We aim to dispatch orders the same day the order is placed where possible if the order is placed before 2pm Monday to Friday. If placed after 2pm or on the weekend then it will be sent out the next working day. Please be aware that certain busy periods (such as Christmas and '20% Off' weeks) can cause dispatching orders to take longer. Please read the delivery information on each product for the most up to date information on delivery times.

  • DPD/APC delivery postage is £5.95 (net) per parcel for delivery of orders under £50 (net) to GB mainland locations only.
  • For orders to the Channel Islands and Ireland delivery is £12.50 (net) per parcel for orders under £100 (net).
  • For orders to the Scottish Highlands, delivery is £13.00 (net) per parcel for orders under £75 (net).
  • For orders to the Isle of Man, delivery is £15.95 (net) per parcel for orders under £75 (net).

Extra charges may be applicable for furniture, machines and deliveries over 2kg. Especially those going to the Scottish Highlands, the Scottish Islands, the Channel Islands, Northern and the Isle of Man, etc. Please be aware we are not able to deliver outside of the UK and Ireland at this time. And we may not be able to deliver certain items (such as peroxide/developer) to the Republic of Ireland or outside of England. See our postage options at checkout for what is currently available. And please contact us for delivery costs if you do not see an option for your location at checkout on 0844 3356 121.

We reserve the right to charge extra for re-delivery if you are not available to accept or receive the goods when delivered to you. In some instances, any items not delivered to you will be held on backorder for you and shipped as soon as they become available. There will be no additional charge for this delivery and this will be agreed with you on purchase.

Please note any items not in stock at the time you order may be removed from your overall total but the rest of the order will be shipped unless a backorder has been confirmed.

Some exclusive items such as scissors and furniture (more information below) will be ordered straight from the supplier and then sent to you directly so delivery time frames may vary.

If your order is sent by DPD/APC, after you order, DPD/APC will send you an email or SMS confirming when your parcel is to be delivered – if you know you will be out then please use the ‘safe place’ option in this email to tell the courier what you would like done with your delivery. Alternatively you can opt for it to be left with a neighbour.

If for any reason, you miss the delivery, DPD/APC will leave a note with details on how you can reschedule a delivery for another day.

3b. Furniture Deliveries

Salon furniture will be quoted separately and delivery can be up to 3-16 weeks for customised items. EXPRESS, NEXT DAY and QUICK SHIP time frames are as per product description.

Goods will be sent from the manufacturer and delivery organised by them. Deliveries are carried out between 9am to 6pm and delivered curb side. If a bespoke delivery is required (manual handling, etc) then please call us to discuss this on purchase as there will be an additional charge.

Delivery charges vary according to location and goods ordered; this will be confirmed after the receipt of the order.

Please be aware that there will be an extra charge for delivery to outside of the UK and some locations within:

  • Isle of Wight
  • Channel Islands (Jersey and Guernsey) and Isle of Man
  • Rural Scotland (including Highlands and Islands)
  • Ireland

We will contact you with further details when your order has been placed. As we have to rely on carriers etc, no deliveries can be guaranteed, although every effort will be made to carry out the delivery on the stated day.

4. Tax and other charges
We charge UK VAT at 20% on all orders (with the exception of any 0% VAT Rated items as mentioned in the product's description).

All local customs, excise, value added and import taxes are your responsibility and we will not pay these charges.

In addition, we will not be responsible for any costs, fines, taxes or duties incurred as a result of goods being seized outside the United Kingdom. We will not provide any refunds or credit notes in these circumstances.

5. Returns and refunds

It is your responsibility to inspect the goods immediately upon receipt and contact us by telephone or e-mail with your order reference number if you do not receive your correct order or the items appear to be damaged or faulty within 48 hours.

5a. Returns and refunds for Non Furniture/Non Bespoke and Non Hygiene-Related Items

We will have the goods returned to us and pay the costs of the return shipping (this does not apply to Furniture). If we do not receive notification within 48 hours, any shortage, damage or other deficiency will be deemed to have occurred after delivery to you (this does not apply to Furniture).

If we find that the goods are not damaged or faulty, we will return the ordered goods to you and you will be responsible for the cost of the return shipping. We will also charge you an administration fee of 10% of the cost of your original order.

If, in our opinion, the returned goods are damaged we will provide you, at our option, with replacement goods or a refund for the total costs of the goods within 30 days of our receipt of the returned goods provided you have complied with the provisions above.

When goods have been ordered in error or as not expected, a request must be made to Salon Supplies, within 48 hours of receipt of goods (this may not apply to Furniture). You will need to complete a returns form and return the item(s)within 30 days of your purchase. You can request a returns form via email, your delivery driver, Account Manger or in store. You can also return your goods by sending them back with your delivery driver, via a store, post (this will be at your own expense) or by giving them to your Account Manager with the completed return form.

If you wish to return unwanted goods, please ensure that any product you have bought is in original condition, unworn or unused and sent back to us with its original packaging. Please note that all items of furniture are bespoke and made to order, and so we are unable to accept returns on these items, unless they are damaged or faulty.

Refunds will be subject to the purchase price less a 10% handling charge. Carriage charges will NOT be refunded.

Returned goods will only be accepted where a returns authorisation has been given. The relevant reference number must be quoted on accompanying documentation. For your own protection, please obtain a receipt from the carrier, as the company accept no responsibility for lost parcels.

Goods which are given free, as part of an offer, are not exchangeable or refundable unless the full offer is returned, subject to normal terms and conditions.

Special or customised items cannot be returned unless faulty.

If you choose to return an item to Salon Supplies please allow 14 days for administration.

5b. Returns and refunds for Furniture/Bespoke and Hygiene-Related Items

In the case of damaged goods on delivery, the course of action will be confirmed on a case by case basis. The item may be picked up and replaced by the manufacture, a repair-person may be sent to fix the item or replacement parts may be sent out etc.

In the case of unwanted items, they will need to be returned in their original packaging, there will be a collection fee or return shipping fee dependant on item and location and when you cancel the order. There will also be a 100% of sale value re-stocking fee for custom made items.

The cancellation of any order made prior to dispatch shall be subject to the following charges:

4 weeks or more prior to delivery date - 35% of sale value re-stocking fee
3 weeks or less prior to delivery date or any time after the goods have been delivered - 100% of sale value re-stocking fee

Your statutory rights are not affected.

6. Product descriptions
In describing the Products available on our web site we attempt to be as accurate as possible. Salon Supplies, however, does not warrant that Products descriptions or other content of this web site is accurate, complete, reliable or error-free. If a Product offered by us is not as described, your sole remedy is to return the Product in an unused condition in accordance with the provisions detailed above.

7. Your account
If you use our web site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account and all passwords. To place an order on this web site, you must be a trading entity (or a professional beauty therapist or hairdresser) (over the age of 16 years) otherwise you are not entitled to complete the on-line registration form required to place an order. We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts or cancel orders at our sole discretion. We will deliver the goods ordered by you to the address given by you for delivery on the on-line registration form at the time of your order and by whatever means we reasonably consider appropriate.

8. User Behaviour
You may not use any of our Sites for any of the following purposes:

  1. disseminating any unlawful, harassing, libellous, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable material
  2. transmitting material that encourages conduct that constitutes a criminal offence, results in civil liability or otherwise breaches any relevant laws, regulations or code of practice
  3. gaining unauthorised access to other computer systems
  4. interfering with any other person's use or enjoyment of the Salon Supplies Site
  5. breaching any laws concerning the use of public telecommunications networks
  6. interfering or disrupting networks or web sites connected to the Salon Supplies Site
  7. making, transmitting or storing electronic copies of materials protected by copyright without the permission of the owner

9. Ownership of Goods
We will retain ownership of the goods you order until we receive full payment for the order including the applicable delivery charges (including any charges for re-delivery in accordance with Clause 3 above). Once the goods have been delivered to you they will be held at your own risk and we will not be liable for their loss or destruction.

10. Cancellation and variation of orders
You are entitled to cancel your order for goods (except in respect of an order for bespoke salon equipment, such as salons chairs etc.) at any time up to the point of dispatch.

To vary or withdraw your order you must notify us in writing at the address set out in the contact details below.

11. Product availability
All products are subject to stock availability. If we have insufficient stock to deliver the goods ordered by you we may, at our option, send a carefully selected substitute, alternatively, any sum debited to your credit card will be re-credited to your account and we will notify you by e-mail at the address given by you in your registration form. The refund will be made as soon as possible after such notification and in any event within thirty days of receipt of your order. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.

12. Warranty
All products are sold subject to the manufacturer's warranty which we will honour to the extent of such warranty but all products packaged in glassware are hereby expressly excluded from this warranty.

All products sold on this web-site are intended for use by professional hairdressers and beauty therapists only and not for use by members of the general public except under the direct supervision of a trained professional beauty therapist and/or hairdresser and Salon Supplies and the hosts of this web site accept no responsibility for and exclude any and all liability in connection with the use or misuse of any Products purchased on this web site.

We will be entitled to set off any or all sums due by you to us against any or all sums due by us to you.

14. Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable in damages or have the right to terminate this Agreement for any delay or default in performing hereunder if such delay or default is caused by conditions beyond its control including, but not limited to Acts of God, Government restrictions (including the denial or cancellation of any export or other necessary license), wars, insurrections and/or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the party whose performance is affected.

15. Intellectual Property Rights
The content of the Salon Supplies site is protected by copyright, trade marks, database and other intellectual property rights. You may retrieve and display the content of the Salon Supplies site on a computer screen, store such content in electronic form on disk (but not any server or other storage device connected to a network) or print one copy of such content for your own personal, non-commercial use, provided you keep intact all and any copyright and proprietary notices. You may not otherwise reproduce, modify, copy or distribute or use for commercial purposes any of the materials or content on the Salon Supplies site without written permission from Salon Supplies.

16. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate immediately your ability to use any of our internet services at any time.

17. General
These terms and conditions of purchase constitute the entire agreement between us and you relating to the purchase of our products and supersedes all other agreements or understandings between us and you.

Failure or neglect on our part to enforce at any time any of the provisions in these terms and conditions shall not be construed nor shall be deemed to be a waiver of our rights hereunder nor in any way effect the validity of the whole or any part of these terms and conditions nor prejudice our rights to take subsequent action.
If any provision in these terms and conditions is deemed to be illegal or unenforceable by any competent authority such terms and conditions shall to that extent be severed from the rest of the provision of these terms and conditions which will remain in full force and effect. We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
