Wella and UNICEF - Making Waves is a long-term program between Wella, hair stylists, their clients and UNICEF to give the most vulnerable young people the hairdressing education, life skills and mentoring they need to have a more beautiful and positive perspective in life.

Wella and UNICEF - Making Waves is offering life skills education and complete hairdressing training to the most disadvantaged young people in Brazil. The aim is to work with UNICEF and its specialized partners in Brazil, to:

  • • Deliver professional hairdressing classes in fully equipped centers.
  • • Enable hairdressers from supporting countries to share their passion and knowledge with disadvantaged young people in the field for 2 weeks.
  • • Provide these young people with life skills education to build their self-esteem, raise their aspirations and realize their potential.
  • • Help them to find opportunities to build hairdressing careers in their country and increase their skills through Wella Professionals' solid network and education program.

    • After the first phase in Brazil and Germany, Wella and UNICEF - Making Waves will be rolled out to other countries across the world. The vision is to make the program truly global, and reach as many young people as possible. Watch the video here to find out more.
